Whatever Valentine’s Day means to you, let’s make it a special day for the rain-forests.
Rain-forests worldwide are being razed on a mass scale where the cocoa for chocolate that we buy for our special someone is grown. Cadbury, which is owned by Mondelez, is a huge player in the chocolate world and must be held responsible for its role in destroying the homes of chimpanzees, elephants and monkeys.
On Valentine’s Day, chocolate sales go through the roof -- while the rain-forests are destroyed.
Today of all days, Cadbury can’t afford a PR disaster. We want to use this window of opportunity and put the pressure on Cadbury to commit to a ‘no deforestation’ policy worldwide.
Care to spread the love for chimpanzees and elephants today? Send a special Valentine’s card video to Cadbury’s CEO Dirk Van de Put.
And it’s super easy. This is how it works.
Step 1: Go to Cadbury's Facebook Page.
Step 2: Copy the message below with the link to the video in the comments field under one of Cadbury's recent posts:
Hi Cadbury, we love your chocolate, but we don’t love deforestation. Commit to a no deforestation policy for Valentine's Day!
