Trump targets civil rights -- STOP his dangerous nominee for DOJ civil rights chief

Trump’s strikingly unqualified nominee to head the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, Eric Dreiband, is set for a committee vote on Thursday. If he passes the committee -- which is likely -- he will be voted on by the full Senate.
Drieband’s only experience with civil rights is his long record of ATTACKING civil rights. He is woefully unsuited for the role of Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. That division is tasked with protecting the civil rights of marginalized Americans -- vital work that Dreiband would only undermine.
Not only is Dreiband’s professional career one of working in opposition to the rights he would be charged with protecting at the Civil Rights Division; in his personal capacity he has argued for limiting the rights of victims of discrimination. He has actively opposed efforts to combat employment discrimination against women, older workers, and people with arrest or conviction histories.
Not only is Dreiband’s professional career one of working in opposition to the rights he would be charged with protecting at the Civil Rights Division; in his personal capacity he has argued for, Dreiband is unfit and unqualified to lead the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ.
Take action against Dreiband now -- tell your senators to vote AGAINST his confirmation.
Trump appointees are being put in place to dismantle the very missions of the departments they are tasked with upholding, and Dreiband will be no different. The Civil Rights Division’s mission is an absolutely critical one -- protecting the fundamental rights of minority groups -- and it must not be eroded by a nominee like Dreiband.
